| This page was established to allow our members to provide support and funding for our effort to establish a memorial for the deceased crew members,their shipmates,friends and families at Admiral Nimitz,Pacific War Memorial at Fredericksburg Texas. We have completed our collections for construction of the memorial plaques and they will be installed at Pearl Harbor day at Pacific War Memorial, Fredericksburg Texas on 6 December 2008.Thanks to all of you sponsors. To those of you who wish to donate,the following instructions will demonstrate the procedures required for payment by : credit card to "Pay Pal". Click on the appropriate button. With "Donations" you can make your own " chosen " donation to Pacific War Memorial Endowment Fund for the Memorial wall and each $1000.00 accumulation of donations will provide yearly interest to provide for the purchase of a floral standing wreath to adorn a plaque every year on Memorial Day until all five plaques are provided for. When a visitor clicks a chosen Pay Pal button,,a new window will open containing a Pay Pal payment details page. You will be prompted to sign in to the existing Pay Pal account ,"endowment funds", then complete your transaction on the Pay Pal web site . Your payment will be recorded by PayPal as a receipt ID which you will receive for the transaction. He agreed to match with equal funds up to a total of $1000,all donations to Typhoon Cobra memorial plaque. He is the son of a tin can sailor. Each $10. sponsors one sailor . 4-30-2007 The donations were received. SATURDAY 16,AUGUST,2008 No more donations as sponsor of sailors will be accepted. The Memorial Plaques are now being constructed and their installation ceremony will occur on 6 December,2008 in the courtyard of Pacific War Memorial,Admiral Nimitz Foundation,Fredericksburg Texas, however,we will also have a Memorial Service on Sunday 7 December,2008 |
